Alessandro Giordano born, as a musician, in the month of December of 1999, when his parents buy him a classical guitar and encourage him to start attending a music course.
After two years of study of classical authors (Sor, Giuliani, Sagreras, Carulli), Alessandro understands that what he wants from music goes beyond classical authors and nylon strings, thanks to the contribution of artists such as Iron Maiden, Yngwie Malmsteen, Rhapsody Of fire, and others.
So, during summer of 2001, he buys his first electric guitar (a left-handed Yamaha Pacifica 112),his first amplifier (Crate GX-15R) and starts the study of this instrument, helping sometimes himself with Giacomo Castellano's "Metodo Per Chitarra Heavy Metal" (Heavy Metal Guitar Method).
After there are four years in which he plays the guitar in the Thrash Metal band Earthquake with the storic second axe-man Paolo Iori, who is still a great friend of Alessandro's.
This period is going to represent a great opportunity for the musician to develop himself in all aspects.
From a composing point of view, Alessandro embraces the typical phylosophy of this genre, which identifies in the brutality of a guitar riff the emotive center of a song, leaving apart aspects such as modulation and arrangements.
The american/teutonic Thrash metal of the band, excluding some intricate twin-guitars rhythm and solos constructions (the most in the style of Annihiliator), leaves in fact, too less space for Alessandro's (just born) ideas.
Moreover, it is during this period that Alessandro takes what is going to be his storic nickname, or Alex Steel, from the metallic passion that burns in his heart.
In April 2005 Earthquake becomes a piece of the past.
In September 2005 Alessandro is a co-founder of the Hard Rock cover band High Frequency, who is going to play with for a year, before the leaving of some members for circumstamces beyond their control.
He starts in this period to try to compose scandinavian Hard Rock songs and instrumentals too.
But in december of 2006 Alessandro realizes at last what his musical dream is, rediscovering finnish metal groups (in particular Nightwish, the music of his life, Sonata Arctica and Children Of bodom), and starting with new mind to listen to Gothic Metal, thanks to the emotive impact deriving from a concert of the italian Gothic Metal band Maledia.
He starts also an intense and maniacal compositive activity, still continuing and evolving itself today.
Actually, his musical prioritiy is his solo project.
Alessandro has taken the 1st level degree in Information Enginnering, in Politecnico di Bari - II Facoltà D'Ingegneria, Taranto.
