Allison's Degradation is an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Bryan Ojeda and bassist Manuel Cotto in Alexandria, Virginia. Allison's Degradation went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting being Daniel Beard, who joined the band in 2012. The band delivers a wide range collection of songs from hard rockin' heavy riffs to soft melodic gently weeping guitars. Allison's Degradation's sound can be best described as and compared to those bands of the 90's such as Nirvana, Peal Jam, and Alice In Chains to name a few. The creation of the band name formed through Bryan Ojeda and his close friend Allison Bristol in conversation regarding (Alice in Chains) Jerry Cantrell’s solo album ‘Degradation Trip’. Bristol had questioned Ojeda about the album with onscreen text appearing as "Allison: Degradation Trip?". Hours after much deliberation 'Allison’s Degradation' had become the band’s official name. Allison's Degradation is currently active playing frequent shows in the DMV area. A few past shows include Jaxx/Empire Nightclub (VA), Khan's Basement (MD), Eco-City Alexandria Earth Day (VA), Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Telethon (VA) and most recently at the 9:30 Club (DC). This year more performances are set to take place in their hometown of Alexandria than any other year of touring.
