Andrew Woody is known for his remarkable talent and passion for the music he writes. "I write what I believe in" states the singer/songwriter from Kansas City, Mo, and it shows. It shows in his smile while he's on stage, it shows in the tremor in his finely tuned voice and it shows in the quality of guitaring, often over looked in a performer. He is a musician who understands that to be called a professional means that he must do the work of a professional. "Andrew practices more and works harder than anyone else I know on the scene," remarks friend and fellow songwriter John Nixon, "and he's always writing." And writing he is. Andrew has a concept punk band, appropriately named Jessica's Box after one of the characters in the songs. He has written one album for the band and is currently working on a second album as well as a new body of work for himself as a solo artist. Andrew has also written music for short films/documentaries and recently had his film debut in Lawrence, Kansas for the 48 hour film festival working with Naked Bunny Productions. Aspiring to always do more and work harder, Andrew has one line he wants to leave us with, "there is nothing to it, but to do it!" That, and, to just see for yourself, of course!
