Ann Lynn started in 2003 when songwriter Josh Pool joined with brother and drummer Matt Pool in Big Bear, CA to resurrect songs that had been recorded / performed with previous bands or by Josh himself. Ann Lynn started in 2003 when songwriter Josh Pool joined with brother and drummer Matt Pool in Big Bear, CA to resurrect songs that had been recorded / performed with previous bands or by Josh himself. Ann Lynn, known for an acoustic based folk-rock sound, recorded and released their first EP, "What Love's Meant To Be" in early 2006 and went on to win 4 music awards (The 2006 Inland Empire Music Awards for best song - for the single "The Scene" - and best indie band, The 2006 Southern California Music Awards for best indie band, and The 2006 Orange County Music Awards again for best indie band). Joined by bassist Tim Stafford and guitarist Steve Dunlap around the same time, Ann Lynn took on a month long residency at The O.C.'s popular indie spot, The Detroit Bar, and earned positive critical reviews in The OC Weekly and the local Big Bear Grizzly. Since then Ann Lynn has performed off and on throughout Southern California and been in the process of recording for a new album.
