at first glance alisha deallie-thompson may seem small and petite but this singer/songwriter has enough spark and energy in her to ignite the biggest display of fireworks on the fourth of july. with her powerful vocals, outgoing personality and natural gift of connecting with the audience alisha is ready to share her gift of song to the world. her influences included mahalia jackson, yolanda adams and cece winas, "i have taken from them their passion for music and their dedication to god", alisha is quoted saying, "for me it is important to be real and to praise god through every word and every note". hailing from boston alisha grew up surrounded by music. "i can recall singing in the kitchen with my uncle along to patti labelle tapes and watching elivis video's" alisha says, "i found a release in listening to music". at the age of 13 alisha joined the strand theater company where she was able to expand her passions for the arts by performing in numerous productions singing, dancing and acting. this was just the beginning for alisha who went on to perform with her high school choir and eventually with the choir at bunker hill community college. a few notable performance's would be at the boston united pentecostal church and the jerusalem apostolic temple. currently, alisha is enrolled in the artist development program at bristol studio's who have helped develop such acts as universal motown artist jada. comes to you with a genuine down heartedness that brings life her songs. alisha?s spiritual journey is woven in every word that she sings. when alisha is singing she is speaking from her life experience. alisha is doing more than just singing she is praising jesus through every word and every note. alisha is giving of herself for the ministry of god to go forward. alisha only ask that it may stir in your soul and move you to having a relationship with jesus.
