Augusta Wind was started by brother and sister Cameron Logan and Angela Logan. While looking for musicians to compliment their sound, Angela's friend Andre Alberti and his friend Sean Fairburn joined the band. As they searched to find their sound, Josh Hunt joined the band as bass player. Augusta Wind have many musical influences, such as Coheed & Cambria, Ryan Adams, Lamb of God and Paramore just to name a few. Each band member brings their own style to the equation which makes for a very enjoyable listening experience. Since early 2009, Augusta Wind has been featured on Augusta's '95 Rock' and in 'The Metro Spirit'. Also, the band has played many places in the southeast, including Augusta and Athens.
When asked about whether or not he had confidence in their music, lead singer Cameron Logan said, "You've either got it or you don't. If you say you're going to make it, and do it with persistence, you probably will." Although, their love for music surpasses their hopes of success. Josh Hunt, bass player said, "We're not trying to be anybody that we're not. We're just doing what we love to do, not giving a sh*t what anybody has to say and I think that's really helped us find people who truly respect our music. It's a lot more people than I thought too!" The band currently resides in Augusta, GA and has just released an EP. They are currently working on writing their first full length album which should be released first quarter 2010.
