The Philadelphia based hip-hop duo, Aviatorz have been together for the past half a decade. But it was not until 2008 when the duo, separately known as Mike. V & Shizzy Mac formed officially. The Aviatorz have been through many ups and downs on the road to success in the music industry, a total of eight years. The path to the industry seems to be getting harder every day, but Mike V and Shizzy Mac are determined to plow their own path into the music business. The two are aware of the hard work and time it takes to land a record deal in the industry today and have been putting in more than overtime when it comes to their craft. The Aviatorz’ work has not gone unnoticed, combined the two artists have five albums recorded, various DVD appearances, shows and a plethora of guest appearances on local Philadelphia mix tapes. Also, their song writing ability is as good as their rapping covering almost every topic there is to speak on. The Aviatorz signed a recording contract with an up-and-coming independent company, “Get Tough Entertainment”. Get Tough Entertainment is run by Terry Price-Grant and his son Derrick “China” Carpenter. The two ceo's of the company have been working diligently to land a major recording or distribution deal and also other big opportunities for the Aviatorz and the record company. Their first album titled “Take Flight” has been recorded and is in the process of being packaged and sent to labels, stores, itunes and etc. Their motto is to be more proactive than reactive, “you only go as far as you take yourself” common words from the group. Known for their charismatic personalities and swagger, those characteristics always tend to be embedded in the music they record. With their minds and hearts set on their goals they are hopeful that they will continue to be recognized for their trendsetting music.
