At a young age, you usually know exactly what it is you want to become and for this bright young lady, it was to sing. Beebi, 25, merged the old school R&B and new school pop to create a new exceptional sound that she made her very own. With Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston as her influences, it is obvious that Beebi is to become the next R&B sensation. Beebi, real name Barbara Joseph, started performing at the age of 9. Being in her school choir and band got her the experience she needed to audition for Starfire, a Soca band that later got her the female lead spot. She was seen performing at various events including, local parties, Canada Day, Caribe-Expo, Tulips Festival, American Showcase. Beebi is currently working on a demo cd and mixtapes to be distributed to major record labels across the country. Beebi is very goal-oriented and what she wants today is very realistic to her eyes. A nomination for a Juno award in the next year or so is something she truly wants and a girl as dedicated as she is will definitely realize her dreams.
