Bethel King born on December 4th, better known by his stage name B King, is a Cuban American singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. An up and coming rising star who is already well known in the music industry and has collaborated with many successful singers such as Pitbull, Nore, Cristion D’or, Brisco, MoWet, Trick Daddy and Rick Ross. Early Life B King’s family moved to the United States when he was only 3 years old. At an early age he developed a strong passion for music, in fact, one of his earliest memories was his description of music as “colors and images that freed his mind”. Due to his outstanding talents and accomplishments in middle school, at the age of eleven B King was selected to attend New World School of the Arts, Florida’s premier center of excellence in the visual and performing arts. After making it through the extremely selective admission process, B King majored in acting and his foundation for music was fueled. Musical Style and Influences B King’s music style is very unique and diverse, a mixed of Rap, Hip-Pop and R&B. His voice is smooth like no other Rap artist and many of his work feature the amazing vocals of MoWet. B King grew up listening to Dr. Dre, Wu-Tang, Biggie, Pac, OutKast, Nas, and Snoop and there music had a significant influence in B’s unique style. Collaborations In 2000 B King was contracted by Jorge Fonseca of Sony Latin Music to rap along legend Celia Cruz on the show “Caliente” (Esa Negra Tiene Tumbao). He gained a great deal of music industry knowledge while spending the day with the Queen. Additionally, he collaborated with Dap2 on tracks “The First” and “Encounter” as well as produced a number of tracks with Castro “City Lights”, “Brown Eyes” and “Jazz” along with producer Mark Roof of M5 Entertainment and Kiko (Song by Four Studio). Later in 2002, B King was introduced to Cuatro (who later became an artist for Sony Latin Music) and were brilliant together as the BudaMunks, a jazzed out Spanglish combo with B King serving as both producer and artist on the tracks “Chocolate”, “2timingchic” and “The King” plus an additional 20 songs all produced by B King. One of his major accomplishments took place during his time in Puerto Rico as he expanded in the Latin Hip-Hop genre collaboration with stars including DJ Noreaga, DJ Nelson, Visco C, Tego Calderon, Daddy Yankee, Nikki Jam, Tito & Hector, Sofia De La Cruz, David Bisbal, Richie Rich, and Los Rabanes. B King reveals new projects During the last two years, B King released hits “Lemonade” and “Classic Coke” just to name a few. Still to come is the much anticipated club banger called “All Attention” featuring Pitbull, but the list doesn’t stop there. B King is working on a long list of projects including collaborations with Pitbull, MoWet, Cristion D’or, and Rick Ross. The road to success During this year (2012), B King’s career is really taking off.
