BLACK DEEP WHITE BIOGRAPHY HOW EVERYTHING STARTED... Grown up in such a "backward town" as Rome (despite of its historical and artistic importance) and in a conservative country as Italy (as far as it pertains to rock music scene at least), we have always been fighting against time and the stereotypes of our culture and been choosing our lane. Music is not a job, it's our passion! That's the reason that moves our bodies and our minds on through a hard and grueling way with no turning back; the way to rise to stardom! The story of Black Deep White formation began in a far-off day back in July 2011, in a recording studio placed at the outer suburbs of Rome. The drummer Massimiliano Mangiagli was there working at the production of an album for the band that he was previously involved in. During a break from recording sessions, producer Roberto Cufaro made Massimiliano listen to some music samples written by Dave Shadow. An overwhelming sense of excitement took his breath away; he was far and away astounded and raped by Dave's tracks. It was the perfect sound he has been ever seeking for! He immediately contacted Dave and showed up to him his own point of view about the opportunity of collaborating on a brand new project together. It didn't take long when Carlo Emanuele Manca and Tiziano Milani successfully auditioned respectively for the part of guitarist and bassist in Dave's and Massimiliano's band, which became a concrete reality thus. The four dedicated several months to check songs and look after improving arrangements at the rehearsal and make selection of potential hit-singles to be included in a first debut album. At the same time the band had a significant meeting with Mauro Scafati, the owner of an independent publishing house. The latter, after thoroughly examining Black Deep White’s material, proposed them, sponsoring the release of a 4 tracks mini – album to be produced at one of the best Recording Studio in Rome and further the shot of a video clip with Carlo Roberti & SOLO BUIO VISUAL FACTORY. II. BLACK DEEP WHITE – 2012: THE DEBUT EP From August to December 2011; Dave, Massimiliano, Carlo and Tiziano was engaged in recording their first EP, under the supervision of very skillful and influential music engineers and producers, Marco Resovaglio and Danilo Silvestri. The two even gave a considerable contribution to the sound of Black Deep White, displaying their opinions about what the music biz expects from a new band and their suggestions to how to lead their songs to explode into listener brains! Together with the band ,Marco and Danilo chose the more four representative songs featured on the debut EP: TONIGHT (YOU ARE THE MEANING OF LOVE) SHATTERED LOST IN A MOMENT UP TO SOME DAYS AGO BLACK DEEP WHITE – TONIGHT EP 2012 along with TONIGHT OFFICIAL VIDEO, will be out in MAY 2012 (tbc) for promotional preview only (not for public sale): the band is looking for a serious deal with a serious label interested in a more than 100 pre-produced tracks repertory of pure and catchy European rock. III. THE MEANING OF BLACK DEEP WHITE Nothing is really what it seems. The Good melts into the Evil, Love gets dressed like it was Hatred, Truth is the eco of a Lie, and “White" is the reflection of your being, on through the "Black" mirror of your soul. Distinctions and discriminations are merely conventional mind aptitudes with no sense, by which Mankind have always been trying to identify, to define and to enclose the universe into an empty conceptual structure. If you see Black you are even supposed to see White at the same time. Break free from the domination of your senses and look at things for what they really are… BLACK DEEP WHITE.
