Brandon Thomas Genest was born on June 15, 1990 in Attleboro, MA, and has lived in Pawtucket, RI for nearly eighteen years, where he currently resides. Brandon Thomas Genest was born on June 15, 1990 in Attleboro, MA, and has lived in Pawtucket, RI for nearly eighteen years, where he currently resides. He attended Saint Raphael Academy near his home in Pawtucket, and graduated in 2008. There, he started his interest in music. As a freshman, Brandon's only musical experience came in a music class that he took for a total of one and a half semesters at Goff Junior High School. There, he learned the basics of music notation and how to play the xylophone (7th grade), and guitar basics (8th grade). At SAINTS, his music instructor, Dr. Audrey Kaiser influenced him to strive in the musical arts, and since then, that is exactly what he has done.
Since then, Brandon has played the piano for six years and the guitar for seven, and there's no turning back. Brandon wrote his first single, Last Day, in the summer of 2007 (nearly three years before its official release on January 19, 2010 in his first EP, "Final Frontier"). The other songs were written somewhere between 2009 and the beginning of 2010.
Brandon is currently a junior at the University of Rhode Island studying to earn his Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry. Music is a top influence in what makes Brandon keep going.
