I have been privileged to experience more than the norm for the average 20-something. Raised by godly, Christian parents, who, with a love for families, a heart for evangelism and a bend toward the dramatic, saw my creative streak early on in my writing, music and acting abilities, took the time and energy to direct me toward those God-given desires and interests. Inside the environment of homeschooling, I excelled and my passion for writing, music and drama grew, alongside my own personal passion for God. I took 9 years of piano lessons before graduation, at which time I took up the guitar. "It's a much more portable instrument and one that fits me." I began to seriously seek God's direction in my life after my 21st birthday, and songwriting became a vital part of my love relationship with my Savior. "Music, for me, is a mode of transportation; transporting the soul to heaven's throne, and the heart, mind and emotions to understanding and action." Writing, too, became a central part of my life as I attempted to produce my first audio book, an autobiography of my first 18 years entitled The End of My Beginning - A Homeschooler’s Adventure. Since then, writer’s ink seems to have stained my fingers forever. I’ve published a book of short stories, a devotional, screenplays, plus a library of scratchings that hide out deep within the confines of my computer. For over 10 years, I have traveled with my family annually to Central and South America doing evangelistic missions and family ministry in public schools, colleges, prisons, orphanages and churches. "With each trip, I understand more about human nature versus God's love; poverty versus blessing; and religion versus church." Speaking, singing, playing and acting are the modes used in conveying the gospel message of God's love, Christ's sacrifice and a changed life through Him. “Between perilous bus and boat rides to active volcanoes and earthquakes, my travels and experiences have given me more than enough material to keep me writing songs and stories for the foreseeable future!" When I’m at home in the States, my family and I expand our ministry in the area of filmmaking - producing family and evangelistic films, such as Dad the Hero in the Wild, Wild West, Dear Mama, Singer And His Song, Vagabundo, plus various shorts directed toward church/sermon use. (www.take7films.com) I have also developed skills in computer graphics, web design, digital painting, etc. Me and my brothers and sisters, play, perform and record original songs for churches, military, public, private and special events. "That's Who I AM", my first CD, was produced by me and my sister, Amity, in 2009. In 2010 we released a new CD entitled "In Rewind". Currently I am writing stories, scripts and more songs.
