Ladies & gentlemen, put your heaters on on high because there’s a cold front coming. Minneapolis has seen it’s share of winters, but this time around, the Chillz will be creeping up your spine as Chillah Chillz prepares to take this game by storm. His flow is smooth, lyrics icy, and delivery striking, the perfect ingredients for your ears. It was at the age of twelve when rhyming became a part of life, spiritually and emotionally. Growing up on the North side of MPLS, the cold side of the streets shaped Chillah into the artist he is today. Attending high school on the South side is when Chillah began to seriously consider a career in music. Unfortunately, street life and unkosher affiliations brought obstacles to the man they call Chillah, putting a damper on his prospects in the music business. Between run-ins with the law and family problems, it is life learned lessons that really inspired Chillah to share his cold story, the world to feel his pain, and grasp the attention of those that have lead lives similar to his. When asked what his main inspiration was for his music, he simply answered “the struggle”. He continued to say that “when your heavily involved with the streets, your knee deep. You don’t know what’s gone happen, from the time you wake up, to the time you close your eyes at night, and even then your eyes ain’t closed.” Gimmick rappers have had their chance, now its Chillah’s time, a man who has aspired to be a top seed prospect in the rap game, and an individual who had a first person experience of the message he spews through his music. Chillah should also be noted as quite the entrepreneur. He established Hard Body Muzik Entertainment, where he currently has several artists in which he is backing under the label. Chillah knows that talent, presentation and professionalism are vital attributes he needs to bring to the table, along with anyone else who is involved with Hard Body. Already, Chillah’s voice talent has landed him a commercial for Job Core, which is regularly played on cable television. Chillah has also performed at the Target Center which is the biggest venue of top talent you can find around the twin cities. The spring of 2009 is when the cradles will rock, and hell will freeze over. Chillah is set to release the much anticipated album “ Put It On A Scale”. The album is another showing of the diverse talent and life experiences that Chillah wishes to share with the listener. The first hit single “ Out Here Grindin’ “ is an intense sneak preview of the album which is sure to set the stage for the big time, for both Chillah Chillz and Hard Body Muzik, funny thing is…the cold hasn’t even left Minneapolis yet.
