BROOKS is presently at the finishing stages of recording his independent debut album 'CITIZEN' with remarkable SCOTTISH Glasgow producer JAMIE DUFFIN The album will be mastered by GRAEME DUFFIN, of the FOUNDRY STUDIOS and fifth member of WET WET WET WHO PERFORMED 'LOVE IS ALL AROUND' FROM THE FILM FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL. All songs on the forthcoming album 'CITIZEN' are penned by BROOKS with the exception of an OUTSTANDING cover track of ’I FOUGHT THE LAW’ by 'SONNY CURTIS', famously covered by the CLASH. Some excellent artists have freely contributed their talents as can be heard on the album. further info at Myspace. 'CITIZEN' is a collection of songs, a diary of events in 'Brooks' life as an observer and a central character. Life experience is diverse and accordingly 'CITIZEN' reflects this DIVERSITY whilst retaining a distinctive thread musically and lyrically. Brooks began recording 'CITIZEN' in January 2008, totally self financed, whilst maintaining a full time career as a front line police officer in Glasgow, Scotland. The album will be posted in full and the songs are just a taster and as yet un mastered with some minor fixes prior to that. BROOKS PERFORMS AT PRESENT AS A SOLO ACOUSTIC ARTIST IN THE FORM THE SONGS WERE ALL ORIGINALLY COMPOSED. As time moves on and things develop a band will not be a problem. ANY MAJOR TOURING ACTS VISITING IN THE UK LIKING THIS MUSIC AND REQUIRING AN INSTANT NO HASSLE SUPPORT ACT BROOKS IS THE MAN.
