And it is beginning to shout his name out loud. Dalivaa’s latest single ‘I Can Handle It’ comes on the back of an incendiary debut in the form of ‘Livin That Life’ – a tune that blew up big style on the internet, entering the Billboard Chart just a few places behind no lesser star than Lady Gaga. Growing up listening to ‘Illmatic’ and dreaming of one day emulating its creator – Nas – Dalivaa combines the old school rhymes that created that seminal record with new school sensibilities that will appeal to rap fans young and old. Both singles come from a performer who is accomplished, confident and original. Furthermore, there is an extra ingredient that makes Dalivaa so different from his ‘talking loud, saying nothing’ hip hop peers.
