Dandelion Snow is the brainchild of prolific and independently-rooted singer songwriter, Roger Harvey. Roger, along with a revolving door of close friends and musicians, has evolved Dandelion Snow into the Alternative/ Indie /Acoustic act it is today. Although only touring for the past couple of years, Roger & Dandelion Snow has sparked the interest of an ever growing tight-knit following all acrossed America. Roger has been touring in & with bands since he was 11 years old and has no plans to hit the brakes with his newest project, which is just starting to catch the attention of the independent music world. Since New Year's Day of 2009, Dandelion Snow has already released: a split full-length with Morgan Erina entitled "Skeleton Butterflies" on Pittsburgh's Lock and Key Collective; a 5-song EP entitled "Joy, Joy, Joy" on Brooklyn's Lion's Tooth Records; and a second split album with Demon Beat's Tucker Riggleman on West Virginia's Big Bullet Records. Sticking to the fiercely punk ethic of self-releasing records and working with old friends, Dandelion Snow has already sold out of the limited initial runs of these aforementioned albums at shows and through mail-order leaving them to be sold only through digital downloads online hereonafter. Dandelion Snow combines influences from a range of different artists, a musical history deeply-rooted in the indie/punk rock scene alongside literary song crafting. Roger takes the eclectic songwriting approach of writers such as Neil Young and Ian MacKaye and blends it with honest and imaginative writing without losing the indie sensibility and punk attitude that artists such as Elliott Smith & Jeff Mangum possess. Some time in the near future Dandelion Snow will be coming through your town as the East Coast has already been covered many times over. The van is loaded and Roger is heading out west to share songs with a broader audience. Although it's hard to say what the next half of 2009 holds in store for Roger and the collective that has become Dandelion Snow, it's certain that the sky's the limit.
