At only four years old his father introduced him to bluegrass music, and Danny learned how to play the bass, guitar, and banjo. For almost two decades he would develop his craft for writing his own original music and lyrics. A modern day renaissance man, Newport excelled at both athletics and academics, however he devoted most of his time to his passion for writing and performing music. His music is a blend of the extensive catalog of musicians and artists he has listened to growing up. Danny’s music paints pictures of a man in his twenties dealing with parties, girls, work, music, and life. The music blends rock, pop, and hip-hop over smooth melodies using humor and life experiences to create a fresh new sound for all fans of music. His ability to write such potent lyrics, along with composing original music, will allow him to compete in the music industry for many years to come. Everyday, Danny continues to expand his catalog of written lyrics and original composition, and mature in his craft. In late 2009, he recorded his first studio album at the famed Santa Monica Studios in Los Angeles, and also released his first major music video for the track, “Life is a Beach.” Danny creates his music in hopes that everyone can enjoy it, the way music has brought so much joy to his own life.
