After three family albums, Daron was convinced music would be his life. At the young age of 19 , Norwood left Texas to pursue his dreams in Nashville ..Knocking on doors and playing his music for anyone who would listen..His hard work paid off when he landed a contract with Giant records and began to churn out the hits that helped him make his mark on Country Music . His first single "If It Was'nt For Her, I Would'nt Have You" was voted Billboard Magaizines Most Requested and Played Song of The Year...His second single from is self titled debut album "Cowboys Don't Cry" soared up the country charts, and has become a Country Music Anthem that you can still hear on the radio today. Hits just kept coming as Daron released his second album"Ready, Willing , and Able"..Norwoods sophmore album produced chart topping hits in "Bad Dog, No Biscuit", "My Girl Friday", and"If I Ever Love Again". Daron was becomng a household name..His success was evident when Lorrie Morgan selected Daron to write and record a song to be included for a Keith Whitely tribute project...That effort was "Little Boy Lost', and Norwood was presented a Gold Record for his achievement. Just before Giant Records folded, Norwood made the choice to return homeTexas....He battled some personal demons, but soon emerged victorious , convinced he need to take the negative he had faced and turn it into something positive to help others who may may be walking in the same shoes he had , or perhaps turn a young life around and keep them from making the same bad choices Daron had made only a few years earlier. Daron soon began "Keep It Straight USA", for 14 years he made it his job to spread a positive message to school assemblies across the US. In 2004 he accompanied George W. Bush during his re-election campaign, perfroming his hit "In God We Trust"....In 2005 he was commissioned by General John Jumper , USAF Cheif Of Staff, to entertain and inspire our troops across the Country. In 2006, he served on the Prevention Convenition program for then Florida Governor , Jeb Bush. Daron is currently writing and working on a new studio album, and planning a brand new tour to bring his amazing career full circle. He plans to reconnect with the people he feels like know him the best..His fans..and he will be focusing on his home state of Texas. With new management, a new focus, and the same passion in his heart that has always driven Daron to be the best he can be...The Best is Yet To Come!
