DDK (Disco Demolition Knights) is a trio featuring Bob Hylton on Bass, BG (Brian Graham) on Guitar/vox and Brooks DuBose on drums. The band's sound is steeped in Southern Rock & Blues (Allman Brothers, North Mississippi All Stars) as well as darker and harder hitting rock (Black Sabbath, Clutch) flavored with hints of jazz, funk, soul & raggae. Bob Hylton toured and recorded exclusively with Sourwood Honey before settling down in Charleston several years ago. Playing and recording with numerous local bands, Bob had become a staple in the Charleston music scene as a go-to bassist before joining forces with BG, former singer and guitarist with Charleston-based, Live Oak. Having performed with other Charleston bands after Live Oak parted ways, the guitarist and bassist started collaborating and performing from the get-go. The band was finalized with the addition of Brooks DuBose (formerly of Gaslight Street and Ten-Mile Tide). His hard-hitting style gave the band the raw intensity that powers their music. The band has recently released their first EP. A modest collection of songs featuring subtle slide guitar and fast paced riffage that pays tribute to some of the best trios like Cream, Gov't Mule, ZZ Top and the Police.
