The name 'DeeDotMillz' came about in early 2010 when discussing with a best friend what his Twitter name should be. It was short for his real name, and D.Mills has been his nickname all his life and it stuck. DeeDotMillz has been recording hip-hop music since May 2009. DeeDotMillz began his musical career in May 2010, with the debut mixtape 'The Title You Expected'. Since then he has released 3 more projects, (What I Learned From Summer Vacation, Prelude to Treat Me Well and Treat Me Well) ...

It was short for his real name, and D.Mills has been his nickname all his life and it stuck. DeeDotMillz has been recording hip-hop music since May 2009. DeeDotMillz began his musical career in May 2010, with the debut mixtape 'The Title You Expected'. Since then he has released 3 more projects, (What I Learned From Summer Vacation, Prelude to Treat Me Well and Treat Me Well) all independently in 6 months. An extremely high work ethic and will to succeed has pushed him past his peers. It has furthermore positioned him to become one of the top up and coming underground artists in Detroit, MI. Since then his music has been placed on several hip-hop blogs (Different Kitchen, ZillaSays, Rock The Dub, PoPolitickin and several others). His musical style is reminiscent of a 'College Dropout Era' Kanye West and Nas. His passionate delivery is coupled with lyrics that sincerely portray his life and everyday situations 'The Suggestion Box' is the 5th project by DeeDotMillz slated to be released independently in March 2011, and will be the fifth project released within the first year of his career.
