Shingirayi Ronald Padiwa (Daddysuprano) was brought up in a National Park in Zimbabwe. By the time he moved to Cambridge, England in 2001, a developing passion for music - heavily influenced by Nate Dogg - was increasingly focused on hip hop and RnB. In 2004, having given up the prospect of a promising career in football to concentrate on writing music and singing, he hooked up with two writer-musicians to form the group Loose Chains. The group recorded a number of tracks but parted company before they were released. Shingirayi continued writing music on his own until last year when he met fellow rapper and Zimbabwean, Denis Nyundo (Derty Dawg). Denis, who was a high school prize-winning songwriter and rapper at 13, came to the UK in 2009. The duo’s complementary talents created a new sound and The Selected Few (TSF) was founded. They have since written six rapping tracks - Did he say, Boom bang bang , Let’s play, It’s War, Phenes and Down the Spot and are currently working hard on new material.
