A 4 piece band from the trailers of Vancouver, Washington, DIJ has taken the Portland, Oregon scene by storm. Known for their raw stage performance and eruptive energy, DIJ brings the noise with neck snapping backbeats, melody stricken touches to lyrical madness, and all-out rage. In early 1999 Toby Todd and Jesse Mahan, both veteran members of local bands in the Portland area, set out to create a band like no one had ever seen. After a great deal of trial and error DIJ was finally formed, yet in 2006 came a new addition to the band, Wade Nelson.. After Jesse Mahan left to pursue his career completed the DIJ lineup. DIJ is fused from the lyrical and creative skill of Ben Bray, the crushing guitars of Toby Todd, the subsonic assault of Wade Nelson, and ground over the pounding tempo of C's drums, DIJ is a sound unlike anything youve ever heard. The core of DIJ is a tight knit group of musicians that gel very well with each other, on and off stage.
