Diligent was born and raised in the only borough of the Greater Toronto Area, Scarborough. From a young age, he was singing and imitating anything musical on T.V. Being a first generation Tamil in Canada, he was antagonized in ways similar to others within his community. Since he fell into the lap of Hip Hop, many doubted his credibility as an emcee on the basis of his ethnicity. People started to recognize that Diligent was different, and soon discovered that their opinions we're very false....

Since he fell into the lap of Hip Hop, many doubted his credibility as an emcee on the basis of his ethnicity. People started to recognize that Diligent was different, and soon discovered that their opinions we're very false. Growing up in Malvern, one of the most controversial areas in Toronto, would make Diligent the man he was destined to be. Though the last child of three struggled in school, he was well supported from his parents who never doubted him. Now at the tender age of 22, he is faced with a task that is virtually impossible to attain... become successful in the music industry.
