we are not here to change HIP HOP we are here to keep it going D.N.A first formed in year 2002 in Oman when members Trey, Drake and T.M had high expectations from a very young age of becoming big rap superstars. Started off by freestyling in chemistry classes because the teacher didn’t care that much on what they did as long as the work was done. There recording freestyles started to be captured by fellow student mobile phones and people would hear it. In 2004 - 2005 where they bought their first karaoke microphone. which took them to the next step.. They weren’t actually familiar on how to mix down tracks so every song would be done in one go. That is if anyone made a mistake (which all Artists do) then they would have to start all over again. It was coming really well as the reputation was building up but in the year 2006 they decided to end it and concentrate on their studies for it was their final year. In the year 2008 two members: Trey and Drake landed scholarships in Melbourne, Australia to study at Monash University with no intentions of making music at all. In a couple of months time they started seeing live performances of other Melbourne artists (not to mention names) and they would finish the last lines of the artist’s lines and challenge each other who would finish most of them for fun. Then they met Tee a very energetic and unique character he was popular around the clubs especially from the way he dances. After hanging out with Tee they discovered Tee had a talent of singing. So after that a fourth person would always be there to beat box and they would make a song on the spot. Two months later D.N.A was reborn but this time taking a new path in music with Trey (producer/rapper), Drake (rapper/singer), and Tee (Singer). They were able to accomplish a lot in 6 months only what other artists in Melbourne accomplished in 1-2 years. They started really strong and they are not stopping anytime soon. There might be other bands that go by the name of “D.N.A” but it’s sure you won’t find something like this. Especially that ends with the phrase “BABY”. D.N.A BABYYYY!!!
