The four members, Majyk (Lead Vocals), L.A.(Guitars), Nikki (Drums), and Ryan (Bass) are a band you can count on to keep your feet tappin’, your body shakin’, and your parents quakin’! Down & Dirty began in early 2008, rising from the ever-changing band SKIZM, the boys adopted a new name, and a new attitude. Earlier in the year after finally securing a lead singer that possessed the vocal quality the band was looking for, the newly named Down & Dirty set out to conquer the local music scene. From their first show at Sonic Portrait Showcase it was obvious this band was set to shake things up! Their solid rhythms, wicked solos, wailing vocals, and over the top stage presence is unmatched by any of their peers. Right from the beginning Down & Dirty’s performances made the statement “We’re here to kick some ass” and they have never looked back. With each show, and each new song, the band has grown, refining its melodic rock into songs and sounds that will stick with you to the very end! Influenced by a tremendous amount of musical backgrounds the four members have come together to forge a sound and direction that lifts the fans to a euphoric level that can only be described in the lyrics of their music itself! Down & Dirty’s brand of rock & roll is full of lust, love, honesty, and life; it will leave you excited, energized, hungry, and begging for more! This bands direction and attitude has caught the eye of many of music’s influential people and is currently helping them to move forward on their mission to push rock back into the mainstream.
