DragonFly (born Perla Andrea Meneses) is an American bilingual recording artist and entertainer originally from Barranquilla, Colombia. She began performing in the pop electronic music scene of Miami's South Beach and soon gained international exposure through the hit television show American Idol Season 6. DragonFly has performed at Ultra Music Festival, Calle Ocho and has been the opening act for international superstar Snoop Dogg. She performed at The Opium Night Club at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and The Clevelander in South Beach for the Winter Music Conference 2010. She has made appearances Fox's Deco Drive and for Hola TV West Palm Beach. She recently performed at Fiesta on Flagler held by the City of West Palm Beach, Florida. Her debut single "Bottle Popper", off her latest project "Red Eye” generated recognition in the Electronic Dance community. DragonFly's "Bottle Popper" is gained National exposure by making the Promo Only April Rhythm Club. "Bottle Popper" which was co produced by DragonFly and Kriya with arrangements by DJ Erik Velez and features Bahamian artist Sosa Man and M Deez. Her second single "Too Sexy" also featuring the Bahamian star SosaMan and is making serious noise with the recent video release and the exclusive television premier on Miami's own Deco Drive. The video will also be released on Promo Only Club Video international release in October 2010. She is currently working with multi Platinum and Multi Grammy award winning producer Tony “CD” Kelly on the final part of her debut album, which is sure to bring a new element of DragonFly yet to be seen. Outside of her music career, she is a trained actress and entertainer featuring in A&E’s original series The Glades and was one the lead cast members in one of the longest running theater shows in South Beach history when she stared in Tony and Tina’s at Mansion Nightclub.
