I am the artist Drastique 1. The 1 in my name was chosen knowing that I am the one to bring change. The voice of Drastique 1screams of the have knots echoing that we are the future and will be heard. Born to a single mother of four children I was the youngest. When I was three my mother moved my siblings and I to Texas to be closer to her family. By the time I was nine my mother sent me to live with my father in New York City where I quickly pick up on the street life. In and out of juvenile by the time I was sixteen I turned to the only love that I knew which was music and the art of expression. Instead of being a victim of the ghetto I let my music and the love of the art take me to places outside of the police caution tapes and drug infested neighborhoods. I developed a passion for entertaining and began to build a fan base strictly on my talent. I currently have two videos on Youtube , GaragestarrEnt, and Myspace called Open Road & Get Money. I’ve opened for artists Z-Ro, Yukmouth, SPM and other various artist and shows throughout Texas.
