The heart of Drew’s music is rooted in the blues. Originally from Pittsburgh, Drew moved to Florida and established himself as a professional singer, songwriter and performer. His classical guitar education from Florida State University is revealed in his intricate playing style as well as his writing. Drew’s original compositions speak of life with a taste of the blues and the drive of rock and roll. His energetic playing style and unique vocals combine to present an outstanding and brilliant performance. Each song is delivered in such a manner that demands attention and truly reflects his passion for his music and desire to please his audience In 2010, Kyle Aligood stepped in to pick up the beat as the band’s new drummer, replacing long time 911 veteran, Perry Nelson Kyle is a self-taught drummer and brings new energy and unique rhythms to every song. He’s been described by the band’s followers as a “monster drummer” who is entertaining to watch and drives the band forward. In 2006, bassist Randy Barnhill came on board with The Drew Tillman Band. Randy is an endlessly talented bass player who has shown natural diversity with electric bass, fretless bass and his 100 plus year old upright bass. Randy who originally hails from North Carolina, traveled to Florida to attend and graduate from Florida State University. He has played with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, performed with recording artists such as Roger Hurricane Wilson, played with other local Tallahassee bands, sat in as a studio musician and is now with The Drew Tillman Band. Steve Taff recently rejoined the Drew Tillman Band. Steve brings a talent for lead guitar playing rarely seen and is a true natural at the art. Steve has played with countless bands of all walks of fame. His monstrous playing and stage presence gives the band a solid foundation and cutting rock edge. Drew and Steve have performed together on stage for years and exhibit a chemistry that is not only obvious to the audience but proven in the sound of the band
