Earendil was founded by Baal Rivera (keyboards and Vocals) in the middle of 2005 in San Salvador, El Salvador, Central America, being the first band of its genre in the country. The musical influences of the band are Nightwish, Therion, After Forever, Epica, among others. The main theme of the lyrics talks about our position against Christianity, and shows the path to enlightenment of our minds before the election of our darkest desires, which lead us to the dark spiritual supremacy. The band began its appearance on the scene presenting its first demo consisting 3 songs (Barad Dur, Dragon Negro and Requiem) with a national tour of 13 concerts in its first 3 months. That place Earendil among the 10 best National Metal bands 2006. In the middle of the year was also produced their first DVD entitled “Live in Independence Fest 2006 " recorded at a Central American festival playing with bands of all the region. In 2007 the band began recording its first independent album entitled "De La Gloria Al Poder" (8 tracks) which was presented at the "El Salvador MetalFest 2008 "which is the most important metal festival in the country. At the moment the band is in promotion of the album.
