Born and raised in Baltimore City, Emory developed his passion for music when he first saw his long-term friend, Uprock, free-styling back in elementary school. Even though Emory couldn’t rap, he begun writing poetry that became the platform of his soulful R&B silhouette. Remarkably balancing his dreams with the reality of maintaining real life and schoolwork, Emory’s life became increasingly conflicted. Emory became emotionally disturbed when a close friend, D-Blazin, was murdered. Shaken but not defeated, Emory was inspired to continue pursuing his dreams through a good friend, Doc Hollidae (Crimzon Eyes Productionz). Doc not only told but showed Emory how to turn tragedy into triumph – a true soldier.
After conversation with his peers, Emory decided to go off to college in Raleigh, North Carolina. Evolving from a young hustler to a business entrepreneur, Emory showcases his talent all over the east coast. Emory’s performances and auditions include The Apollo in New York, MTV's Making the Band 4, The Carolina All-Stars Showcase in Charlotte, North Carolina and a plethora of other shows in Atlanta, Miami, Virginia and Philadelphia. Tapping into the college circuit has allowed Emory to perform at various universities including North Carolina State University, Duke University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel, North Carolina Central University and Shaw University.
Emory’s voice presents a dynamic flair with a humbled, spiritual conscience. Emory is creating a new sound with breath-taking beats by amazing producers who use futuristic rhythmic patterns that have the potential to rival the popularity of any new male, R&B sound.
