Entroterra Roots was born in 2005 when 4 people (Gabriele, Marco, Stefano and then Daniele) met and started to collaborate with the intention of making reggae music. At the beginning the sound was composed by groove box, bass, keyboards and drums. But thinghs became more interesting when Marco decided to create a place: "La Saletta", the centre af all. This place, with the work of the guys and their friends, becomes a respectable recording studio. The enthusiasm and the strength of this project involves also some friends of the guys, so Marika,Christian,Marco and Paolo becomes part of the group. So this guys started to colaborate with Marco Carbone, singer poet and percussionist, to make real the first appearence in 2007. The first text was in Ligurian dialect, then they wrote also in italian and english. The first little exhibitions was in 2007 in Shantihouse, a wonderful B&B located in Sopralacroce (www.shantihouse.info), then the first live in a club was in november 2007. During this period comes Mara, with give a hand to the guys with her beautiful voice.. 2008 is very important for the group, they performed a lot of time in every place they can, and in August, the big opportunity happens..they play in REGENERATORIUS FESTIVAL in Lithuania, with New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Radikal dub kolektiv Vibronics and Zion Train. Back to Italy to played in Genoa at "La festa del Sole" (Sun's Party) in forte Sperone, a very beatiful place on the hills of Genoa! But the most pleasuring live was on September 7th, when the guys played in Monte San Giacomo, in a party that they organized by themselves..meanwhile arrives other two components: U Carbun with his percussions and Gian with another saxophone..so the group now is made by 11 elements! So....a big familt composed by simple people who wants to make something different and giving a message by the incredible power of music....
