Emerging in Northern Virginia, Escape the Armada laid its foundations in an area already hotly contested with musical ambitions two years ago. Rather then shy away from the competition, however, ETA relished the challenge, the local music scene emboldening them to create bigger and better tracks. Sweet pop influences filter through their distinctive rock undertones, pulling you in and gripping you tightly until the very last notes have finished ringing in your eardrums. The vocals provide stark contrast to Rayshawn's pulse-pounding rhymes, resulting in a thrill-ride from beginning to end that you just can't seem to get out of your head. ETA's efforts came to fruition. They worked hard and played even harder. The recent addition of a new vocalist, Chris, brings lyrical and musical experience into an already diverse and accomplished group. The result? You don't have to strain very hard to hear it. ETA travels around the Northern VA/MD area, playing shows in a wide variety of venues. And they leave their mark wherever they go; whipping each crowd into a frenzy and threatening to blow the roofs skyward.
