The band is made up of an amazing crew of seasoned musicians that brings an eclectic brand of funk of funk to the stage. With horn players from Caleb Riley Funk Orchestra (Chris Nicholas) and 12 Cents for Marvin (John Giordanengo) added to players from Prism/Big Hollow/Bill Smith Futaba has a stellar mix of vibrant originals that draw from old school funk but with a new edge. Although pretty fresh to the scene, FUTABA has already played shows at Hodi’s Half Note, Mishawaka, The Aggie, The Vault, KRFC’s live at lunch, and many other locations around Colorado. We're excited to continue to expand our fan base and share our brand of "funkajam" with the front range and beyond. Futaba has been featured on KRFC's Live at Lunch for emerging artists in Northern Colorado. With influences from Phish, Tower of Power, Galactic, The Band, and any funky jam out there.....With songs rooted in funk grooves, rich harmonies, sweet horn licks, and some incredible music chops. We bring a unique sound to Colorado with a veteran line up of folks from across the country.
