Hi Megan and Liz! My name is Kristi Krause and I am an aspiring singer/songwriter/musician. I live in San Diego, Ca and find myself by the beach most of the days but the weekends is when I spend all my time playing shows and singing for audiences. I am constantly working hard on my singing career because I love it so much. Singing has always been a huge part of me and who I am as a person. I like to be able to connect to audiences through my music by telling stories that they can relate too. Hopefully they can just relate to me as a person as well. Music for me has really always been an escape. One of the reasons it is an escape for me is because I used to be bullied when I was younger due to the fact that I have Tourette's Syndrome. Kids never understood me and what I was going through so it was hard being at school. There were days I didn't even want to go to school so I wouldn't have to face the teasing and harassing. However, because that fact that I went through all of that, I've learned so much about myself and who I am and most importantly staying true to myself and accepting others for who they are. Everyday I am working hard at my music and these past two years I was a contestant on American Idol for season 10 and 11 making it all the way to Hollywood. It was a crazy experience but now I am just working on building my music career. I love being myself and being a good example to others. If I had this opportunity it would truly mean so much to me.
