Marquis Dunn was born June 19 1988 in Nyack NY and raised in the Bronx, Spring Valley, and the state of Virginia. Marquis is coming from a single parent home and rose with three other siblings. Like many families he lived a life of survival but this didn’t stop him from dreaming. He always had a whole different world in his head to carry him through the rough times. Marquis got into music as a child by playing the piano, drums, and clarinet all by ear. This led him to start recording himself on a tape deck. He knew he had a talent that would someday get him and his family into a place where they did not have to struggle. Marquis stays influenced by Jay Z and listening to his favorite songs: Money, power and Respect. Hip hop and rap has become Marquis‘s life and will continue to be until he can no longer rap into the microphone. Until his family is in a better place where there is no struggle he will push his talent to higher places.
