ROBERT SMITH (A.K.A) CUZ was born and raised in Columbus, GA . Being raised by a single parent and older siblings at the age of 12, he developed a passion for Hip Hop. During the early 90’s he was involved in the streets. To escape his everyday struggle he turned to a pen and paper, however...being around a deprived, young, and restless community the music was no longer his passion. He had to get his mother and siblings out of poverty "By Any Means Necessary. He attended Carver High School, located in East Wynnton, a known drug infested area. At the age of 16, while standing on the corner of 10th ST and Rigdon RD., a local rap group approached him with an offer and a dream...But was soon derailed so it was back to the block for Cuz. He was then jailed for 2 years for volition of probation at the age of 17. After jail Cuz came home and put his focus on his music by selling CD’s and doing show’s at local Columbus area clubs such as, Ritmo, Anti- Freeze, The Brick, and V.S. for 3 years. Feeling like the work he put into his music was all for nothing, he put all of his focus back to the street life. When he was 23 years old he was convicted of possession of cocaine and marijuana and was sentenced to 10 years in a Georgia Correctional Facility. While serving his sentences he focused on coming home and working his music . After being released from prison on parole in 2008 he got with 1st Family Entertainment...But after a breif stay with 1st Family he felt he was being pushed to the backburner and left to form his own label "GWOP GAME RECORDS". Today Robert Smith A.K.A. Cuz is currently CEO & artist of GWOP GAME RECORDS. Cuz is now taking his life experiences and putting it in his music to give folks a clear understanding of a great southern rapper outside of Atlanta. Along by his side is manager Charles(EDDIE CAIN)Byrd and super producer Mr.Cape along with artist GT....GWOP GAME RECORDS will be a major label in the near future.
