"Hell Boyy" is the pseudonym of Hatian-American music producer/arranger David Desrosiers, born in Providence, RI. David is the youngest of 8 siblings in his immediate family. At a young age music really began to grow on him. "I began playing the piano at the age of six, soon after the death of my father. It was a way for me to express myself." He grew up playing in a church, and explains that "God has given me a phenomenal gift, in that I can actually create meaningful bodies of work through instruments! He's also allowed me the opportunity to study with students whom were mentored by some of the greatest pianists alive!" At the age of 11, He has been featured in the New Yorker Magazine as the "Providences Beethoven." It wasn't until David began to get into his early teens that he started playing a number of other instruments including the Viola,Violin,Drums, Bass and Flute. Being of Haitian descent, he explained that his heritage naturally influenced his passion for music. " I'd much rather call myself a composer than just a music producer. My music is much more than just sound. Instruments are the tools that allow me to paint my own picture on a canvas." Being that David hails from the smallest state in the country, one might think that he's handicapped or at a major disadvantage in terms of the music industry. But, that's not stopping him one bit. Desrosiers mentions that "Everybody in Providence is a rapper. Even though this may sound cliche, there are too many people trying to be Chiefs not enough Indians." David has been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the most prominent talent in the north east including recording artist(s): Max B, TP, Mall G, Jyshoun McNeil, Juelz Santana, Hynief, 40 Cal, Grafh, DJ Big Mike, DJ Lazy K, and French Montana. It wasn't until recently that he made the decision to begin working on his musical productions almost full-time. Desrosiers was working at the management firm World Wide Talent Search LLC alongside it's owner and rising entertainment executive David Peterson. "I've gained a lot by working behind the scenes and have a better understanding of the inner workings of the business. It's a lot of hard-work and dedication, but if you know and believe in your craft you can definitely be a success." Be on the lookout for an upcoming collaboration between Hell Boyy and Dipset's own producer Araab also known as AraabMuzik.
