High Tide is an upcoming Hip-Hop sensation out of Orlando, Florida. They bring a new sound not only to Hip-Hop but music in general. The group consists of X-Cellence and Monsoon, two young artists with the mentality to take over the game. Their music can be placed in many categories and can be enjoyed by almost any listener. From their unique beats to their new school flow High Tide really separates themselves from everyone else. The 18 year old Rapper, X-Cellence, always had a thing for music growing up. He was always into Hip-Hop and would have imaginations on how it would be if he were to make music. X-Cellence was always shy and could never picture himself making music. After recording himself rapping on an instrumental, X-Cellence found that making music was what he was going to be doing for the rest of his life. Monsoon always loved music but never really imagined himself making it professionally. Music has always been a way of expressing his emotions. Whether it was creating beats on tables, freestyling, or dancing, Monsoon always had a passion for music. After going through tough times Monsoon started writing lyrics to the things that troubled him most. The feeling he got from writing was incredible. Making music was an outlet to his problems. He fell in love with it and kept writing music ever since. X-Cellence met Monsoon during his sophomore year in High School. They would talk to each other every now and then but did not have a close relationship. During the summer of 2008 X-Cellence and Monsoon both went through tough times and began hanging out almost everyday. X-Cellence let Monsoon know how music helped him through the tough times. Monsoon later began writing lyrics to instrumentals and began creating his own music. X-Cellence collaborated with Monsoon on several tracks. Later X-Cellence and Monsoon sat down and realized that the music they were creating together brought a unique sound that could make it far. Ever since that day X-Cellence and Monsoon were known as High Tide.
