Inspired by his ability to make excellent music as a percussionist, Bryan Duncan aka Hollywood On Shine (born November 29,1988) decided to transition his abilities into a vocal platform. “In school I had my drum to express my musical talents. Now that I’m not using my drum, I now use myself to make quality music as a rap/hip hop artist. I have always liked to make music people can vibe to and feel; now that I’m a vocal artist you can expect the same thing from me now.” Hollywoodstarted his rap career later in life with friends of his and joined a label by the name of G Swagg Ent., where he made his first few songs. Inspired by well known artists such as Lil Wayne and Young Dro, Hollywoodput forth his best efforts to produce songs that could be placed in the same category as his favorite artists. He then sought after the opinions of others to prove that his songs had what it took to be on the same level as other professional artists. On this journey, Hollywoodran into his now friend Kendrick Hill, who provided him with opportunities and helped him grow his musical ability to what it is today. After receiving support from local DJ’s and getting played in local clubs, Hollywood at such a young stage of his career, began performing in front of some of the 352’s largest audiences. These performances helped Hollywoodbecome the artist that he is today. Hollywoodachieved the opportunity to perform on big stages, such as the Jonesville Festival, Club Studio, Club Rush, and The Florida Theater. He also opened up for artists such as Lil Kee, YC, and Trick Daddy. After making these accomplishments Hollywoodcontinued on his goal to make it on the radio. Through hard work, staying humble, and perseverance, Hollywoodhit the airwaves on August 16, 2011on WTMG Magic 101.3 ( www.magic1013.com ). This has been, by far, the most elevating point in Hollywood’s musical career as an artist. Through the support of DJ Terrah and the A Team who saw Hollywood’s positive movement to success, he was able to get his song "Getin Bands" to the Program Director at Magic 101.3, Russ Allen. After listening to the song, he gave DJ Terrah the permission to add "Getin Bands" to the mix show on the air at Magic 101.3. Receiving positive responses from listeners, Russ Allen approved the song to go into regular rotation with the rest of today’s artists.Hollywood is a humble, hard working artist, who is on the quest to be an outstanding well recognized rapper in the near future.
