His vision and talents were destined to be shared with the world.  A prodigy of Bronx, New York and Atlanta, Georgia, music was the love of his life and his inspiration as he grew from a young boy to a man.  His name… Not a Rap Artist, nor Hip-hop, Pop or Rock…A HYBRID – he is called by many in the industry.  Unique and blessed with an ear and intellect to create a sound of words that invites a movement into the soul of individuals that come in contact with his rhythm. He is Christopher “I Am City” Mungin, a.k.a. FollowTheCity.  Though criticized as a young boy by his teachers saying “you will never amount to anything” and becoming a statistic of a “high school drop-out,” I Am City rose above all adversities by getting his GED and a Full scholarship to Whatcom Community College transferring to Western Washington University and obtaining a degree in Visual Communication. Becoming a DJ while in Washington to support himself with pursuit of becoming an Artist, he eventually found himself touring in England as he built a name for not only his music but for himself.  Returning to Atlanta, he rose as a successful business owner in 2011 sharing his collaborations of his visions to the world, City Creationz, LLC. The rise of City, #Cockyshit himself, releases 5-1-12; just the beginning of the anticipated mix tape sounds from the artist as he prepares to release is debut album. I Am City also extends his love of music and knowledge to others by mentoring creating City Music Group (CMG) in 2009 which continues to be and ongoing successful project.   Inspired by the arts of Diddy, Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas, Busta Rhymes, Riahanna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Draft Punk and Afrika Bambaataa, I Am City is prepares himself for the task of entertaining his listeners through the gifts of his stage performances.  Pop Star, Rapper or Hybrid…you decide!
