Idle Vice is a rock band from Long Island, New York. Their musical ideology consists of post-punk garage rock with a callous yet unforgettably pop vocal style. The sonic rush of their two independently released EP’s: “Intoxication and Refreshment” (2007) and "A Way You'll Never Be..." (2006) combined with their live shows have brought them to garner a large fan base in the Long Island area. Since forming in the summer of 2005, Idle Vice has developed their own distinguished rock n’ roll sound consisting of their signature riff-rock guitar leads, solos and three part vocal harmonies. Their influences range from such bands as The Ramones and Led Zeppelin to Weezer and The Movielife. However, Idle Vice is not just another Long Island Rock band that plays the same clubs and bars weekend after weekend, month after month. They have gone as far as taking the initiative to book, promote and finance two tours all on their own. In the summer of 2006, Idle Vice spent over two weeks touring the east coast. In the fall of 2007, they took it one step further and spend three months touring around the entire United States to promote their second EP “Intoxication and Refreshment” subsequently selling close to 1,200 copies in just the first 3 months after its release on August 12th 2007. The band has spent the winter months of 2007/2008 writing new material and recording demos at Nada Recording Studios in upstate New York, as well as playing shows around Long Island and New York City. In March of 2008, the band began booking a second U.S. Tour scheduled for fall of 2008.
