Forming in 2004, the band has grown and matured into a finely tuned combination of brutality and melody. Gigging constantly around the local and non-local areas, the bands fan base grows with the more exposure they get. Sales of T.SHIRTS and high MYSPACE activity show this. Most notably the band played last years SUMMER SLAUGHTER tour as local support for SUICIDE SILENCE and many other well established bands, also expecting to do the same at this year’s tour. The band has also played at the Liverpool Barfly and many other North West venues and all day festivals. IMPALED worked with Johnny Truant drummer PAUL JACKSON (TANK.AXE.LOVE) to design and complete all the artwork for their E.P FAILURE IN DESIGN and also GODMACHINE in association with DEAD METAL CLOTHING to design their first t-shirt, with plans for new designs in 2009. With songs VACATED BLUE & BAD BLOOD the band shows off it’s more aggressive and progressive side, with devastating riffs, finger defying bass, pounding double bass foot work and ear shattering vocals. Showing their diversity, songs OUR COLONY’S FATE & THE ANGEL’S TOUCH demonstrate the bands more melodic side. The latter becoming somewhat of an anthem for the band and clear fan favourite, with clean vocals and striking lead guitar work. Influences range from various metal bands, brutal and melodic. Such as Whitechapel, Cannibal Corpse, Fear Factory, Dream Theatre & Textures, just to name a few! The band takes their favourite elements of these influences and injects them into the band with full force and un-relenting fury. The results can be heard in their songs. Upon completing their E.P the band dropped down to having one vocalist rather than two, this fits the bands overall sound and live performance much better.
