Formed in 2009 by Daniel Stone and Lance Alexander. The duo recorded a set of 6 songs at Big Orange Studios with TV Torso’s Matt Oliver at the helm. Formed in 2009 by Daniel Stone and Lance Alexander. The duo recorded a set of 6 songs at Big Orange Studios with TV Torso’s Matt Oliver at the helm. Having known each other since childhood, the two are keenly aware of each other’s musical sensibilities. The session produced songs such as the bouncy “Jen Young” and spacious “Won’t You Tell Me?”, which encapsulated the duo’s sense for hard hitting melody. Stone performed under the name Isle of White for the next year and a half with other members, playing around Austin’s abundant rock scene. Alexander moved back to their collective hometown of Brownsville, until he finally arrived back in early 2010. In the meantime, Stone continued writing, and eventually had enough material to take Isle of White in a sharper, more aggressive direction. Kyle Welch, the band's bass player joined in late 2010 and immediately began adding his own stylistic flair to the now threepiece. Always writing new material, the two hope to expand their fan base and play as much as possible over the next year.
