Write who's intriguing stories of street life and music take you on a journey back to the classic. Legendary indeed. Keith Douglas Freeman (born August 14, 1978) better known by his stage name I. Write is a hip hop artist, businessman, producer, writer, and entrepreneur from Chicago, IL.He is the Co- Owner of POP Music Group an independent label. His love of music is inspired by jazz greats like Wynton Marsalis, Miles Davis, and Chic Corea. His listeners can feel the connection of his hip-hop fused lyrics laced with heavy jazz bass lines and instrumentals. Known as a work-horse to those that know him, he places heavy emphasis on work ethic and pride. Keith credits those ideas and beliefs from the strong and loving foundation he received from his parents- Michael and Donna Freeman. Known for his charismatic word play and energetic performances I. Write delivers his mix of street life and fantasy into mainstream hip hop. In December of 2007 I. Write along with co-founder James (J. Boogie) Ferrell released their first hip hop commerical album independently entitled "Pardon The Interruption" with semi-successful record sales for an independent label. In 2008, I. Write debuted KINDA BLU- his first CD to hit the national radio circuit. . Write's indept description of growing up in Chicago's far southside balance out his mixture soulful tracks from the 80's problem child. Don't get it twisted though, the first single "Stretch" is an instant club banger and "Mic Check" is reminiscent of a Run DMC classic. His fans attribute the success of STRETCH to his ability to stay true to his humble Chi-Town roots while keeping his loyal fan base wanting more. STRETCH is just the kind of single that may have cemented his position in the hip-hop world of royalty. You'll figure it out. Either way by the time you finish this album the repeat buttton will already be pushed. January 2009 marked the beginning a new era for POP Music. Word on the street that he may be in negotiations to sign sizeable endorsement contract with the Coca Cola Brand this year. Expected releases include Sug Free's "Open Mic", Rhythm Ghost "The Encounter" and I. Writes next album "Press Release due to hit stores in March 2009. I. Write has also ventured out in clothing with the scheduled release of his Cambridge Polo collection in the here in the U.S. and in the U.K. by fall 2009. It's never been easier to Be Cool... Alright!
