With a vibe primarily based off ofsouthern roots, this rootsy rocker  hasearned and gained the respect of music lovers ranging from rock to country to blues. Hailing from the Gulf coast of southLouisiana, Lanes songs speak of high lonesome stories tapping into God, sin,love, family, hardships, misconnections, highs and lows in a Lynyrd Skynyrdgrit and Bob Seger drifter acoustic kind of way. The characters in the songs,more times than none biographical, always tend to be relatable allowing hisreputation as an artist/songwriter to grow in turn giving the listener a senseof wealth. As the old saying goes, “You can’t fake it if you’re gonna make it,you gotta live it.” Often times compared to a wild horserunning on the plains, the long road to Lane as we know has been all buteventful at times. With a record deal gone sour in 2008 Lane proved that youcould take ones innocence and try to leave like a kinlen for the coal, but theharder the life the sweeter the song. With a raw, rough-edged and emotionalvoice Lane refused to be captured or tamed hitting the scene as he had donebefore eager to build an even greater legion of fans. With such authenticity,Lane words are not only believable but you get a glimpse through his own eyesof his own frustrations, hopes and dreams that he has felt. Some may call thatlost, but he calls it freedom. With a determination and hunger tobe heard, Lane is proof  that if you dosomething long enough people will hear. In doing so Lane has recently regroupedmembers and is getting  back to basicswith an acoustic based rootsy southern sound with his new band ‘THE PARISH’. Alongside his full band shows Lane hasalso been stringing up a solo acoustic tour  titled “The Living Room Sessions” no smoke, nolights, just a guitar and a pile of songs featuring Jaryd in his most comfortableelement.
