Jayne Balogun wants to change the face of R & B music. She is a driven, talented young singer who is, was and always will be passionate about music. Jayne was born in Edmonton to a large, Christian family. She began singing gospel music at the tender age of 6. At age 11 she found songwriting to be an emotional outlet allowing her to express her creativity. She began hitting the stage at talent shows within the Edmonton area where she developed a passion for performing. By 2001 she was introduced to a number of recording studios within Edmonton where she established an understanding of the process in professional recording. Jayne's extraordinary ability to arrange vocals and harmonic melodies soon allowed her to establish a name for herself within the local scene. The singer was then introduced to local producer Tom Ratesic of Dystinkt Music. After recognizing her talent the pair collaborated to produce her first studio album. The result is entitled “R&B for the Streets”, a mix of pure and souful sounds displayed by a true rhythm and blues vocalist. Following the release of "R & B for the Streets", Jayne has worked to develop a fan base for her music by performing in Edmonton and Calgary. Jayne’s unique and melodious voice lead her to sing backup for world renowned talents Josh Grobin and Michael Buble. She also had the opportunity to open for acts such as Swollen Members, Massari, and Papoose. Jayne is working hard to achieve her dream of making her mark in the music industry. She will continue to do so until she makes her dream a reality.
