My music is “Guitar driven Rock/Pop with a blues twist”. A combination of hooks, melodies, big rhythms and solid lyrics drive my songs. I like to blend fluid, strong bluesy guitar work into his songs that add a great edge to the music. Communicating a distinctive sound is part of the ability to draw listeners in. The combination of songs are in the genres of Adult Contemporary, Pop/Rock AC and Pop Rock/crossover songs. Tracks like "Little Boys" and "Never The Same" have a roots rock crossover feel with big hooks. “Better Late” is a driving contemporary rock/AC tune. Rocking Blues tunes like and "I Don't Need" and even the more rock based "Lucky Stars" add an edge to the song list while “Caliente Azul” exemplifies an upbeat Texas blues instrumental. "Nothing" is an acoustic guitar based modern pop song with a twist to the lyrics. From my beginnings in Atlanta, Ga, I was fascinated with guitar based rock and pop leaning toward bands that had strong melodic content, good backbeats and crisp harmony. My influences touched many genres including rock, pop, blues and others. I would say my musical influences span a broad range and include both classic and modern pop/rock artists: Matchbox 20, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Blues Traveler, Pearl Jam, Jimi Hendrix, Bad Company and The Rolling Stones to name just a few. After a stint of touring with cover and original bands in the southeast music scene I decided to leave the band for other pursuits. Music was a strong influence in life from the beginning. I have been fortunate in that I was always exposed to different styles of music growing up. My Father was a guitar player and my Mother played piano. Both of them had very diverse musical tastes and I think that influence helps you in your writing. I believe it opens up your melodic potential. Finally I decided to produce some of my material. I guess it really is Better Late than Never. There is nothing I would rather be doing than playing and writing music.
