My reason was simple; I did not want to play other peoples music…." Lisette Xavier is a Canadian singer/songwriter who has found a way to write pop music with depth and substance. Lisette has taken a step away from the generic 'happy love song' epidemic and finds inspiration through her endless ambition and sometimes tragic experiences. Often taking on a dark undertone, her songs are a reminder that even in our darkest moments we are not alone. She is currently recording her debut album which is being produced by Michael 8 of Septembryo; set to release later this year. In preparation for her album, she has recently released her first single 'The Leap' accompanied with a music video which was produced by Lucid Lights Studios in Calgary, AB.
