Winnipeg, Canada-born John Huver is a drummer of early starts. Currently at 24, he resembles the maturity, discipline and musicianship of his peers who are often a decade older. He began playing at the age of 8, gigging by 13 and in the studio at 17. His experience playing with cover/original bands has given him extensive expertise in multiple styles: rock, pop, country, folk, rap, blues, and jazz, as well as many different ethnic styles. -He has toured many times through out Canada and the U.S. and recently signed on to a European tour in May 2010 with The Perms. - Made film and T.V. appearances/showcases with Scott Hinkson on "The Listener" (summer 2009 NBC/CTV) Zooey and Adam (film), Marcel Soulodre on "CBC" with Leonard Shaw (The Guess Who), and video rotation with The Perms on Much Music. - Performed at drum clinics and workshops at various music and high schools. - Performed on 7 album releases from hard rock to country to folk - Opened for such touring artists as Harlequin, Lucas Rossi, The Waking eyes and Trooper. John joins projects that interest and challenge him. He has the ability to vary his groove and feel as well as accommodate many time signatures - all while being able to realize what is best for the song, not his ego. He is able to read/write charts, play to a click and drum loops, which makes him an ideal choice for bands that need a well-versed and competent drummer on short notice.
