Hi I'm Jon Lee Yusaitis. I am a Singer/Songwriter from Upstate New York. I started playing guitar at the age of 4. As a young boy I can remember listening to everything from Frank Sinatra,Elvis,Rolling Stones,Ted Nugent,Christopher Cross,Michael Martin Murphy, and Neil Diamond. As I got older,I listened to lots of other stuff like old Van Halen,The Doors,Sade,The Police,Seal,Classical Music,Rosemary Clooney,Mellencamp and of course,Neil Diamond. Having grown up in the 80's really helped since all the music was so different. In my opinion, I dont think it's natural as a song writer to say to yourself, "Hey,I'm going to sit down and write a song today". I dont think it happens that way. All of my songs were written when a sort of magical idea or melody popped into my head. I honestly dont know where it comes from. I feel blessed to be able to make the music that i do. I am self taught and I feel I have my own style. I have written about 100 songs and its so interesting how each year they keep changing and I am growing musically. I feel like my music is very catchy and if anyone listens to it regularly, you will find yourself singing it in a short amount of time. In less than one week, you will have learned all the words and melodies on any album of mine. I have friends and total strangers who have burnt out copies of my stuff because they have listened to it so much. If i was able to be successful in the music business, I would give nearly all of my money away to children in need and people who need help. I have never been interested in pursuing fame and fortune,I have always played for myself and to this day,I am creating the most amazing stuff. It would be great to share it with the world. I think my music hits home with a huge demographic, and it's extremely easy to relate to. It's sad that all of these bands are out there, and once you hear them, you can easily tell they are trying to copy someone else that's already famous. There's too many untalented people clogging the record executives' desk's with music that, quite honestly, may sound well produced at times, but has no real magic or originality. I hope the land of opportunity allows me to get noticed. God Bless America .
